Video #1: Good Video
This video was shot in New York for Lunar New Year in 2019. The iPhone XR was used to tell a story from the view of an Asian American, showing her experience celebrating this holiday in The Big City. The video was of great quality: the camera was held steadily, a variety of sound, lighting and color was used throughout. The video had a clear-cut story, and it was edited in a very intentional way. This video met most of the required “ingredients” that go into visual storytelling.

Video #2: Bad Video
This video was not as successful in completing the “ingredients” throughout the story. This video was also shot on an iPhone, but it was much more noticeable. The video looked like it was supposed to just be unique night footage in a city, but the content was not of the highest value, and the story or subject was not clearly shown. The video was much shorter, and didn’t seem to have special features or edits, except for the music put over top of it. This video would be more of what not to do when actually trying to create a visual story using an iPhone.
