I chose to do my aggregation assignment on the conflict going on with Israel and Hamas. This war started on Oct. 7, Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel. This is an on-going war and has been in headline news for several weeks now. Many news organizations are publishing multimedia and making this war coverage a top priority. Throughout my aggregation I have followed the war and its progression over time. There have been surprise attacks, bombings, hostages, cease-fire and more. This is a very serious topic, and one that much attention has been given to in most news rooms over the last couple months.
Israel detains hundreds

Israel said it detained hundreds of possible terrorism suspects in Gaza, and they were transferred to Israel for further questioning. The Israeli military is said to be interrogating all suspects involved in terrorism. Military said they killed a senior Hamas operative in an airstrike and are destroying Hamas infrastructure.
Israel was prepared to fight for months
This article from a few days ago talks about how Israel says they are prepared to fight for months, or until they can take down Gaza’s Hamas rulers. There have been over 17,000 deaths so far, many of them being women and children.
Israel-Hamas cease-fire
The U.N. General Assembly voted for an immediate cease-fire. There have been so many casualties to innocent civilians, and everyone wants to do what they can to put a stop to the madness. Gaza’s 2.2 million people are suffering, around 85 percent of the population is displaced, hungry and diseased.
